We have recently received a number of calls from customers of a company called PC Tech Lounge (http://www.pctechlounge.com).
The individuals who have contacted us have advised that they have received calls from “PC Tech Lounge” advising that they have a virus on their computers and have offered to connect remotely, for a fee, and clean it. We believe this to be a false assertion and would advise anybody receiving a call from them to hang up without disclosing any information immediately.
We would like to confirm that this company is in no way affiliated or connected with us here at The Tech Lounge, and is in our opinion less than reputable.
The website appears to have gone offline at the time of writing this post, but forewarned is forearmed in our opinion.
