FREE “Deaf” and “Hard of Hearing” Communication Cards.
Working in the technology space, a lot of what we do centres on communication in one form or another.
Over the last few months, communication has been the backbone of the countries, if not the world's, effort to slow down and stop the spread of COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus.
As the UK starts to open back up and people and businesses begin to get back to normal, we must recognise that normal isn't what it once was. Wearing masks and shielding faces has far-reaching consequences for those with specific communication needs, such as the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
Communication is crucial to the deaf and hard of hearing and is core to deaf accessibility. Therefore, it's vital to ensure communication lines remain open and access to information is as easy as possible.
With this in mind, we have decided to put our idle card printers to use and produce FREE of charge Hard-wearing, waterproof "Deaf" and "Hard of Hearing" communication cards for those in need up until the end of July 2020.
After this date, you can still order the cards for a small fee.
Deaf & Hard of Hearing Communication Cards
On the front of the card is the message;
Deaf - I'm a Lipreader. Please face me and speak clearly. Thank you for your patience.
The back of the card reads;
Please can I ask you to briefly remove your mask and make eye contact without covering your mouth. Speak normally and using hand gestures helps.
We can also communicate using British Sign Language or by writing things down.
You can order these utterly FREE of charge! (UK Only) up until the end of July 2020. We will even pay for postage and packaging.
We will be limiting it to three cards per order, and unfortunately, we aren't able to provide the lanyards, but you can find some great ones on Amazon.
