Networking events provide a great opportunity to promote your business and services within your local community - we have ffound many of our Hampshire based IT support clients this way. It can also provide a forum to share ideas, learn about issues that might affect your business and to keep your finger on the pulse of the business scene in which you operate. Many businesses across Hampshire already understand the advantages of regular networking with fellow business owners across the county and, if you’re looking to get involved then there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to attend. We’ve taken a look at some of the regular networking events that are taking place throughout Hampshire in the coming months.
Basingstoke Business Over Breakfast
Breakfast meetings have become a popular form of networking event within all kinds of business communities. The opportunity to start the working day chatting with like-minded professionals over coffee and pastries without the time out of the office interfering with your standard business hours too much.
Business Over Breakfast is one such example of this form of networking opportunity. The events are held from 6:30am every second Thursday at the Holiday Inn in Basingstoke with the emphasis on it being a pressure free networking environment for business owners and representatives throughout the Basingstoke and wider Hampshire area.
More information on how these breakfast meetings operate can be found at www.bobclubs.com
FORE Business Golf Networking
For years we’ve heard the old mantra that a lot of business is conducted on the golf course and, while it might be something of a cliché, there has long since been an element of truth to it.
FORE is a specially created golf networking organisation built squarely for this golf and business combination. Holding monthly golf days they provide an opportunity to indulge in some time away from the office and on the golf course while at the same time getting together with other business owners and senior managers from around Hampshire.
With so many people playing golf as a pastime this seems like an ideal way to engage in some quality networking in an informal atmosphere both on the fairways and over a pie and a pint back at the 19th.
FORE Business Golf Networking meets regularly at the Basingstoke Golf Club for Hampshire business folk.
Free Cakes, Coffee and Networking
Held at the Basepoint Business Centre in Basingstoke these monthly events take the form of a light buffet lunch with, usually, a guest speaker and then an opportunity for business owners and managers to mingle in an informal, conversational setting over coffee and cakes.
Welcome to all within the Basingstoke and Hampshire area the event places its focus on the idea of meeting new people and fostering relationships with like-minded professionals for the purposes of exchanging ideas and creating new opportunities for growth through word-of-mouth referrals.
First Friday Network
First Friday host regular, FREE, networking events at various locations throughout Hampshire every month. As with the other network events we’ve spoken about, the emphasis is very much founded upon the belief that the best form of marketing comes from WORD-OF-MOUTH.
These events, the next being on 1st August in Portsmouth, are held at informal venues such as pubs or hotels with informality, indeed, being the driving force. No prior booking is registration is required, just the chance to roll up to the event and share experiences, stories and, of course, business cards, over a drink or some food and away from the more formal environment of an office or sales meeting.
